The Administrative Coordinator - Alternative Investments provides administrative support for the department and may also perform customer prospecting activities in support of the Investment Consultants.

• Balances applicable general ledgers and daily deposits to reported sales; completes wire transmittals, and; corresponds with Cetera regarding sales paperwork and wires.

• Communicates with insurance and mutual fund companies in order to service existing investment business.

• Communicates with department staff on annuity paperwork requirements and changes, including annuity rate changes.

• Provides administrative assistance to Investment Consultants such as, calendar/schedule maintenance; transaction processing; corresponding with insurance and investment companies, and; customer account and sales material maintenance.

• Performs some prospecting activities, following up on referrals and confirming appointments and scheduling reviews.

• Assists investment clients in a timely fashion; performs service work; and places trades and contacts Cetera's customer service as necessary. Forwards appropriate service calls to Investment Consultants.

• Assists field sales force in achieving their goals, and departmental goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least three years of related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Series 6 license, life insurance license, or some exposure to the insurance industry and insurance products is preferred. Requires demonstrated experience and skill with various software (Microsoft products) and computer systems.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience in basic accounting and basic banking knowledge will be extremely helpful. Must be detailed oriented and committed to meeting daily deadlines. This position requires experience in providing a high level of customer service, which includes complex problem resolution, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Requires an individual who is self-motivated, assertive, performs well in a competitive sales environment, and that interacts with customers and team members in a professional and personable manner
