Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducting routine checks on the vehicle’s systems such as cooling, oil, electrical, brake, and tire pressure.
• Identifying and reporting any issues or malfunctions with the vehicle’s systems.
• Keeping track of work tickets for the assigned vehicle(s).
• Ensuring the security and safety of the vehicle both on and off the road.
• Ensuring the safety of passengers and goods during transportation.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Requirements for Appointment:
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Driver II.
• Possession of a valid driving license for the required class(es) of vehicle(s) without current endorsements.
• Pass in Occupational Trade Test II for Drivers.
• Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Attended a refresher course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week within every three (3) years at Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
• Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
• Attended a First Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
