Job Description

Beyond Good is a mission driven company and this individual will ensure alignment from our impact strategy throughout our organization and our supply chain. This will include involvement in the strategy design during capital raises, as well as, ensuring execution and reporting during implementation. The position is based in Antananarivo, Madagascar or Kampala, Uganda and reports into the COO.

Major On-going Responsibilities
• Lead Beyond Good’s social and environmental impact strategy and programming. Impact should be embedded across the way Beyond Good works from farm-to-consumer.
• Manage relationships with external partners, including suppliers co-manufacturers, government, investors, donors, NGO partners, etc…, to align sustainability impact, programming, and reporting.
• Management of impacts investments (equity, debt or grants) through the full engagement cycle, including design, implementation and reporting, ensuring coordination and buy-in across the organization.
• Develop and maintain company impact M&E framework and ensure quarterly/annual reporting
• Lead fundraising activities for impact funds that will amplify impact, accelerate speed, expand reach and de-risk innovative approaches.
• Manage suppliers contracted to monitor our social and environmental impact, including remote sensing, carbon measurement, and social impact surveys
• Ensure continuous content to Beyond Good’s communication team to bring the impact story to life for our consumers

Special Projects:
• Manage relationship with our cacao and vanilla farmer cooperatives in Madagascar, as well as, our cacao supplier in Uganda.
• Establish and maintain system for farm-level traceability for all vanilla and cocoa farmers in our supply chain. Ensure the system can scale with brand growth, and be integrated into marketing communications to engage our customers.
• Combine impact KPI’s of the business and each impact investor into a singular scorecard/report to be communicated internally and externally each quarter.

• Has 5-8 years working in agricultural supply chains, preferably cacao or vanilla
• Strong working knowledge of Impact Funding (equity, debt and grants)
• Thrives in a scrappy, underdog environment.
• Can persuade and influence people at all levels.
• Will sense this opportunity as more of a calling than a job.
• Might even be a bit of a misfit.
• Is highly adaptable
