Senior Engineer CBM (Asset Monitoring Centre)
Ambatovy Joint Venture operation in Madagascar, is recruiting an experienced Senior CBM Engineer who will be required to monitor, coordinate and lead efforts of multiple departments (Inspection, Reliability, Process, Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics etc.) to early detect equipment fault and ensure corrective actions are done before functional failure of equipment.

The Role
This position reports to the Superintendent AMC & Lubrication and is required to carry out strategic improvement of the Asset Monitoring Centre System both in terms of hardware and methodology and train and mentor less experienced staff for technical and leadership competencies.
Responsibilities
• Monitor, coordinate and lead efforts of multiple departments (Inspection, Reliability, Process, Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics etc.) to early detect equipment fault and ensure corrective actions are done before functional failure of equipment.
• Perform advanced analysis such as multi-channels analysis, run up and coast-down and transient analysis.
• Lead and manage Asset Condition Monitoring related projects.
• Assist Supervisor Condition Monitoring in managing AMC Work Orders.
• Assist Supervisor Condition Monitoring to manage database of centralized inspection software.
• Assist Supervisor Condition Monitoring with Inspection PM in consultation with PM Optimization Team.
• Maintain and manage all Predictive Maintenance/Condition Based Maintenance databases along with tracking and reporting on asset health.
• Develop and audit Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) routes across the plant.
• Assist and/or lead developing solutions and making recommendations on plant maintenance.
• Seek out areas of improvement in existing inspection program via regular audits (new inspection point, new technique, optimized routes etc.)
• 30%: Analyze data, create reports, and generate work requests.
• 30%: Prioritization meetings with Maintenance areas and non-Routine tasks.
• 40%: Field assessment, mentoring and coaching the local workforce, long term improvement projects.
The Requirements
• An Engineering Degree (Mechanical) or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 10 years as CBM Engineer or equivalent from specialized company.
• Strong inspection skills for rotating and static equipment.
• In-situ balancing of rotating equipment.
• Knowledge, training and certification as in CBM program or similar CBM techniques such as vibration, thermography, ultrasound etc.
• Required Vibration and Thermography analysis training level 2.
• Knowledge of all predictive techniques for rotating and static equipment.
• Knowledge of OneView, Pi Data Historian or any other PIMS (Process Information Management System).
• Reliability Improvement.
