Description

Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant coordinates all administrative responsibilities associated with the Executive Director’s office for the EMU at the Lancaster site. Responsible for managing the Executive Director’s sensitive calendar and summarizing/collating reports, emails, agendas, and other information relevant to meetings and engagements. The executive assistant facilitates engagements with faculty, staff, students, and external constituencies on behalf of the Executive Director. The Executive Assistant communicates and carries out duties as assigned by the Executive Director, and on behalf of the Lancaster site.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
• Three to five years of directly related experience in senior-level administrative support, event planning, and execution experience in a university setting. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• A proven track record of exercising discretion and excellent judgment, while managing confidential and often highly sensitive information related to budgetary, personnel, and administrative matters is required.
• This position may require time that extends after normal office hours. This position typically works onsite, but offers a flexible work arrangement when necessary. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

• Have effective collaboration skills working with teammates, and enlist support and feedback from others to effectively represent the university
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and foster and maintain trusted relationships with university executives, administrators, faculty, staff, students, and prospective donors.
• Possess excellent computer skills and have experience using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn new software and digital platforms as needed
• Commitment to the mission of EMU as a faith-based liberal arts university
