CNO's Worksite Division, Optavise, is hiring a Product Owner (PO) to be accountable for real-time decision making; defining and prioritizing the product backlog; setting quality standards for delivery; and maximizing the value of the product/system functionality from a business and user point of view. The PO translates the product vision into features by elaborating user stories and creating diagrams and models. The Product Owner will lead face to face, remote, or mixed location Agile teams as they define the functional requirements, manage the development sprints, remove roadblocks, and constantly communicate the strategy. The PO will serve as the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams to define the minimum viable product (MVP) and negotiate tradeoffs of conflicting priorities to deliver the business product direction/features and communicate the product roadmap.

You will be responsible for driving the execution of the product roadmap and owning the delivery of initiatives through close collaboration with the development team.

As a Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:
• Act as the Product Owner and leader of remote cross-functional Agile Scrum team.
• Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translates them into business requirements.
• Transform business requirements into detailed user stories, mockups with user actions and clear acceptance criteria that developers, quality assurance analysts and UX designers can consume.
• Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a prioritized backlog based on alignment with the strategic product roadmap, business value and return on investment.
• Optimize productivity of the Development team through management of the product backlog by ensuring stories are properly defined, ready for development to start work on and prioritized in advance of a Sprint.
• Define Sprint goals and leads Sprint planning sessions.
• Attend daily stand-up meeting with Agile Scrum team.
• Answer any questions from development team members regarding the customer's needs and the customer's views of how the team is implementing a product feature.
• Manage and resolve customer & internally reported product escalations by balancing resolution priority against roadmap commitments.

The Product Owner position is well-suited for you if you have:
• Experience designing employee benefits administration solutions including a configurable platform that supports medical and voluntary benefits plans, a self-service enrollment user experience, analytical reporting and integration with payroll and carrier systems.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical and data complexity.
• A team player mindset and are adept at managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across a variety of organizational functions.
• Strategic thinking with creative vision.
• Attention to detail with analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualified candidates will have:
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related discipline or 8 years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in an Agile Product Owner role, including experience with Scrum methodologies in employee benefits space.
• Experience with Jira Software's Agile project management tool is a plus
• Knowledge of the employee benefits and the healthcare ecosystem.
• Technical savvy with ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams.
• Ability & willingness to travel up to 15% within US and Canada is expected.

What will set you apart:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or ability to attain within first year.
• Master's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related discipline.

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
