About the Job
As Branch In-Charge of the Chattogram Station for DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), this role entails a crucial responsibility in reinforcing the company's market leadership in air and ocean freight services, by ensuring seamless, efficient operations and innovative logistics solutions at one of our key strategic locations. This role is well-suited for individuals with a strong background in global logistics and a deep commitment to driving operational excellence, optimizing resource use, and delivering outstanding service quality, ensuring alignment with global standards and stakeholder expectations at the Chattogram station.
Job Purpose
Lead the Chattogram station and implement Business Strategy & Planning to ensure business growth, profitability, and service quality. Optimize resource management in accordance with the Country's business strategy, group guidelines, policies, and the local business environment.
Major Job Responsibilities
• Drive business growth for the station by leveraging synergies with Products and Sales Team
• Develop a high performance service culture and team for the station that nurtures and encourages service excellence and differentiates the organization from the competitors
• Explore, identify growth opportunities, and propose market development plans
• Provide advice/information to Country Manager and other SMTs on local business environment to facilitate business performance review & evaluation, scan the market to identify emerging trends and viable ventures/investment opportunities
• Build and maintain strong rapport with CFS Operators to achieve the best value out of the contract
• Initiate Improvement measures, change, or adapt existing methods, techniques, processes to be more efficient.
Qualifications Required
• 8-10 years’ of experiences preferably in Freight Forwarding & Logistics Business of which 3 years must be in strategic management role
• Strong negotiation skill and problem solving attitude
• Project management and strong interpersonal skill
• Functional experience in Operations, Strategy Implementation, Business Development, Stakeholder Management, People Management
• High integrity with good work ethic.
