Our Site based inDaman UT (India), is currently looking for a:
SOURCING SPECIALIST
Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, our Sourcing Specialist ensures the development and management of the appropriate supplier base in order to guarantee that the business expectations are met in terms of Total Costs of Ownership and Supply Service.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead the commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Assist the Sourcing Manager in the execution of the plant s yearly saving plan and bring to completion the Cost Improvement Initiatives assigned.
• Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology.
• Negotiate contractual terms and manage the relationships with the suppliers, in order to meet current and future business expectations. Ensure that the plant needs are fully met in terms of price, service level and quality (lowest TCO).
• Establish process and procedure concerning the purchasing activity
• Coach the team member and sure all the sourcing activities are aligned with company procedure and code of conduct.
• Ensure the related work compliance with the requirements in terms of product safety, legality, product quality and systems management.
Requirements:
• B.E./Diploma in Engineering Degree Fluency in English
5 + years of experience as specialist (commodity, sourcing) within the Sourcing / Procurement department of an industrial manufacturing and / or processing global environment or in supply chain / FMCG environment
• Proficient at purchasing and supplier management/scouting
Proficient use of modern IT ERP/MRP/WMS systems (SAP as preferable requirement)
• Willing to travel frequently
• Analytical skills (including data collection, analysis and review; etc)
• Continuous improvement oriented (Lean principles, Six Sigma, VA / VE)
• Cross-functional communication
Excellent problem solving
• Willing to travel extensively
