The Department of Astronomy is seeking applications for a student to help with the documentation and moving of equipment at McCormick Observatory. This position offers 10 hours a week and will last through the 2023-2024 academic year.

This position requires the ability to work with faculty in a timely manner. Must be able to lift 30lbs

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Location of work: McCormick Observatory-600 McCormick Road

Compensation Range: $12.00 - $13.00

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Current UVA student. Must be work-study eligible
Experience: None
Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
