MAQE is an experience commerce company. We design experiences for our customers with one guiding focus; helping them sell more.
We started our journey in late 2011 building SaaS and e-commerce platforms for startups in Europe and the US. We now use the tools and techniques we learned over the years (e.g., Design Thinking, Agile Methods, LeanStartup, and Product-Lead Growth) to help our customers.

The Opportunity
Our projects are growing bigger and more complex. We are currently maintaining a large enterprise e-commerce platform, a few customer corporate web applications (industrial gas and shipping) and soon to be designing and developing improvements to a new digital insurance platform. And we need someone who is ready to work and support our backend teams.
The role will be focusing mainly on
• Helping us look after our engineering team by helping them grow through mentorship, training and or finding new challenges for them
• Providing technical leadership in internal or customer projects. This means, also helping us in making strategic or operational decisions, based on opinion and calculated risks to push the team forward.
• Help finding new interesting technologies that is relevant to our business and to their skills
Apart from the main roles above, maybe you also have a burning passion for a particular technology, platform or language. As a Lead Engineer, we'll give you the opportunity to research and prototype so that you can show the team what can be done, make this a part of our engineering toolkit and or become our in-house specialist in that area(s).
This role is great for those who 1) want to step up from an individual contributor to team lead 2) want to create impact and achieve goals through others, rather than just ownself 3) are inspired to develop people in your team to grow.

• Strong and current engineering skills
• PHP and or NodeJS is preferred
• Python and GoLang is nice to have
• Strong experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern workflows
• Experience leading agile teams (SCRUM added bonus)
• Good database design skills
• General software architecture experience
• Writes and supports clean and well-documented code
• Supports engineering best practices (design patterns and processes etc)
• Experience of event-driven / microservices architectures nice to have
• AWS, GCP Cloud experienced added bonus
• Excellent Thai language and confident in communicating in English
