• Monitor accounts receivables and ensure timely collection of the premium amount.
• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payment vouchers and bank transfers.
• Prepare and review tax returns, including VAT and corporate income tax.
• Analyze insurance policies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Update the insurance broker’s database with all transactions.
• Assist in conducting internal audits and financial reviews.
• Assist with any additional accounting projects that management requests.
Requirements
• B com/Ba in accounting finance or relevant field
• Bachelor’s Degree qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a junior accountant
