ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXTThe job holder reports to the lead data engineer or the designate. At this level, the job holder is expected to take responsibility for maintaining high-quality standards in the data system. This includes providing guidance to support staff, assisting with analysis and queries, transferring data between the current database and the corporate systems, and verifying data integrity through sanity checks and deduplication. Additionally, it will support the development of data systems that follow best practices and standards and might be required to document current and future database systems and contribute to developing new database systems.JOB PURPOSETo provide technical support on the development, maintenance, testing and implementation of a portion of IT solutions in line with business requirements.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)Within the assigned unit and delegated authority,ÿthe database associateÿwill be responsible for the following duties:Support the development of databases and tools for the data needs of the country office and field offices and adhere to the best practices of database development standards.Follow data gathering and monitoring systems ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained.Provide accurate and timely reports from the database to the units.Provide guidance to support staff, acting as a point of database reporting and assisting them with analysis and queries.Contribute to the documentation of the current and future database systems.Assist in migrating the data from the current database to the corporate system and vice versa.Based on the information/reports received from the different units and sources, prepare reports to be sent to other units/sub-offices and external stakeholders.Contribute to the design of database systems.Contribute to the plan and deliver continuous improvement to data integration solutions, through the application of data management best practices in combination with data technology.Develop and improve ETLsApply data sanity checks and deduplication on the database to ensure data quality
