Responsibilities & QualificationsThis program provides direct support to the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command Fort Detrick Engineering Directorate in their mission to support the DHA LAN/WLAN Modernization Program. Requirements include surveying, designing/engineering, procurement, installation, implementation, and project management services related to the expansion, modernization, or replacement of LAN/WLAN infrastructure at Military Treatment Facilities and associated outlying medical facilities / Geographically Separated Unit (GSU) locations. Work locations are in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). RESPONSIBILITIESProvides telecommunications enhancement designs for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructuresApplies knowledge of LAN/WLAN engineering and scientific principles, and computer technologiesLead Survey and Design efforts for LAN and WLAN modernization efforts which may include various types of LAN/WLAN hardware (i.e. Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, or Cisco) for capacity, redundancy, signal strength, and/or device placementGenerate a cost analysis based on historical data provided by the government and create a Total-vs-partial estimate to compare OEM electronics and provide a recommendation to the governmentConfiguration and installation of network routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access pointsImplement Campus Area Network and VLANs subnet IP addressing migrationsEnsure Cybersecurity requirements are met for all installed componentsDevelop Implementation Plans and other documentation as required by the PWSDevelop a List of Materials for all hardware and installation materials necessary to complete the installationCoordinate with the Government on-site Project Engineer during surveys and installations REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS with 10 years’ experience, or HS with 15 years’ experience with relevant technical certificationsSecret Clearance requiredCisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA certification requiredIAT Level II PreferredCCNA-SecurityCySA+ **GICSPGSECSecurity+ CECNDSSCP7 years’ experience with Enterprise networks2 years’ experience in the design and implementation of LAN/WLANsKnowledge of RF transmissions, mapping and surveying, configuration of access points, antennas and related equipment, cabling infrastructure to support WLAN systems, client wireless configurations, operations and troubleshooting.We are seeking a LAN/WLAN Network Engineer to join our team supporting TEIS IV DHA MTF LAN/WLAN Upgrades.TekSynap is a fast-growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment. “Technology moving at the speed of thought” embodies these principles – the need to nimbly utilize the best that information technology offers to meet the business needs of our Federal Government customers.
