Astar’s continued success has created an opportunity for a Lead HVAC Installer in our Middletown, NY location.

Experience and Requirements:
• Have and maintain a clean, safe driving record.
• HVAC Service Technician experience
• Highly organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• Outgoing, with a positive, can-do personality that blends well within a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Competitive individual contributor who also loves to work and win as a team.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who’s flexible and has a great attitude.
• Possesses or willingness to purchase a minimum hand tool list.

The Big Task

You will diagnose and repair HVAC systems and educate customers to informed and confident buying decisions.

Key Sub Tasks
• Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of warm air furnaces, air conditioners, duct distribution systems, boilers, water heaters, related piping and electrical.
• To service and startup equipment and adjust to the manufacturers and job specification.
• To troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise that would keep the equipment from functioning properly.
• Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and owner’s maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner.
• Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign necessary paperwork and collect payments as directed.
