An esteemed global consultancy firm is seeking an international Team Leader to oversee its Urban Development and Municipal Services project in KyberPkhtunkha Province (KP), Pakistan. This position is available to experts from Developed and Asian Development Bank member countries. The project requires a 20-month full time commitment, starting immediately.
Responsibilities
The Expert's services will be required for Development of Master Planning, Land use focused Comprehensive Plans and Construction supervision of investments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Overseeing planning and execution of every aspect of development of land use and city comprehensive plans as set forth in the output's scope of work.
• developing overall assignment objectives and methodology, stakeholder consultation and survey plans, and work plan and milestones for assignment deliverables; and ensuring their timely and effective execution/submission.
As technical expert of land use and master planning, the consultant will also be responsible for overseeing/preparing the technical aspects of the following tasks:
- development of city vision document,
- data collection tasks, surveys and situational analyses conducted,
- development of Land Use Zoning (Reclassification) Plan 2045,
- development of Peri-Urban Structure Plan 2045,
- development of City Comprehensive/Master Plan 2045,
- development of GIS Based Decision Support Applications.
The consultant will be responsible for ensuring suitability and adequacy of institutional development, financial and O&M proposals developed.
Qualifications
Experience: Should have preferably over 12 years of experience, of which 2-3 projects/assignments are similar and in similar role/capacity. The person should also preferably have proven work experience in other developing countries (apart from their home country). He/she will also supervise the national urban economist on the team.
Qualification: He/she will preferably have master's degree in urban economics, planning, engineering or an equivalent Advanced degree and qualifications would be an advantage
