As a Sous Chef at Arta's, you will work with the executive chef to promote our menu in accordance with our policy and vision. Opportunities to work on new dishes and menus will also be expected.

Key daily responsibilities include
• Daily organization of kitchen work schedule, ensuring that prep lists are followed and tasks are designated efficiently and appropriately
• Monitoring product on a daily basis for freshness and quality
• Making sure product is rotated as necessary, and keeping a list of products that need to be ordered for the next day
• Producing high quality dishes in accordance with our menu
• Working efficiently alongside kitchen staff, guiding them, and training new staff
• Maintaining order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
• Making sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation
• Making sure all closing duties are completed, and side projects are completed on a regular basis
• Keeping an eye on all equipment, paying attention to cleanliness and necessary maintenance or repair needs

Pay will be based on experience, and is open to discussion. We offer candidates the unique opportunity to learn authentic Italian cuisine presented in a French style, and an opportunity for employment in a new establishment that's still up-and-coming!

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Weekly day range:
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:
• Cooking: 6 years (Preferred)
• Sous Chef: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
• ServSafe (Preferred)
