Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join The Moorings, working in the British Virgin Islands, providing an efficient, fast, professional, and courteous service to all guests. Working across multiple outlets as part of the Food and Beverage team, you will be interacting day to day with a large number of guests including holiday makers from across the globe. Working in this busy resort, teamwork and flexibility is key to ensure operations run smoothly and that guests leave feeling that they received a 5 star service.
What you will be doing:
• Working between multiple bars across The Moorings resort
• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages including a large range of cocktails
• Proactively interact with customers, welcoming upon arrival with enthusiasm and a smile
• Taking orders and serving well-presented drinks and bar food
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations accordingly
• Ensure safe service of alcoholic beverages
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Regular cleaning of the bar and surrounding area
• Accurately taking cash and card payments
• Using initiative to offer further drinks and snacks to customers and maintain regular communication
• Ensure bar is not left unattended for unnecessary periods of time
• Supporting with serving and kitchen duties if required
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Experience as a bartender in a high-level establishment
• Friendly, approachable and happy, smiley personality
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, presenting and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Confident to approach customers
• 5-star level customer service skills
• Honest and professional
• Passionate about working in a customer facing, hospitality position for a growing, reputable travel company
• Flexible approach to supporting in a wide variety of tasks
• An all-rounder who can support with all areas of restaurant and bar operation
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays and shift work as required including evenings
