You as a Senior Commissioning Engineer (Telecom) will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Kuwait. You will be responsible for the service, including installation supervision, commissioning, and testing of our FOX615 telecommunication systems designed to the requirements of the utility sector.
Your responsibilities
• Servicing and testing telecommunication products and systems environment into full functionality following Hitachi Energy commissioning instruction according to the overall program schedule.
• Conducting Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and hand over the scope of supply to the customer or representatives.
• Troubleshooting telecommunication network incidents for our customers with service level agreements and conduct regular on call duties.
• Training the local team and gaining knowledge about the latest technologies and products.
• Issuing service reports and give feedback to project management and system engineering.
• Supporting the sales and tendering team of telecommunications enquiries at bid stage with the right selections of telecom solution or product or components.
• Designing and commissioning of complex telecom and security technologies and comply with project requirements.
• Preparing conceptual, preliminary, detailed and installation design for each telecom and security technology.
• Creating Bill of Materials (BoM), support procurement department ordering equipment in particular for the wired and wireless telecommunications networks and participate in products selection.
• Reporting to the project and telecoms managers telecoms related items updates and progress.
• Updating of documentation needed in the design to support both internal and external partners.
• Meeting and interfacing with clients and subcontractors to meet project milestones and achieve best project delivery outcomes.
• Identification and resolution of the interfaces with other vendors system and network swapping.

Your background
• A bachelor's degree of electrical engineering or communication engineering. or equivalent, ideally with specialized knowledge in telecommunication.
• 5 - 10 years of experience with critical projects and network key expansions nationally including network dismantling, upgrade and expansion, network swaps, monitoring and improving wired or wireless network KPI performance.
• Experience in Telecom field engineering including both SDH and MPLS-TP technologies. Lead engineering experience for Critical Network Upgrades.
• Core network engineering experience, and network performance engineering experience.
• Sound knowledge of modern MPLS-TP based telecommunication technologies. Certified in FOX615 design and commissioning is advantageous.
• Proven communication skills as well as interests in working within an international and multicultural environment.
• Great problem-solving skills and a strong customer orientation.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
