Due to this, we are now very excited to be recruiting for a Senior / Director Marketing & Sales Enablement EMEA to join our organization.

We are opening this role in multiple locations : Paris, Milan, Dubai, Madrid, Prague, Riyadh, Brussels. Remote option in the countries above plus UK and Germany.

This position for QuidelOrtho EMEA leads the EMEA input on Global strategic planning processes at BU level and provides the long term strategic direction in alignment with EMEA growth plans. This position leads the development of the long term and short term marketing strategies for 4 lines of business across both developed and emerging markets where QuidelOrtho sells through a direct sales force as well as through a distributor networks.

At the same time this role is involved (in partnership with Cluster Leaders) defining Commercial Sales strategies for each country in EMEA and thereafter following up to ensure effective execution of these strategies.

The role will include the design and delivery of commercial best practices and processes that maximize profitable revenue, including programs to consistently improve : New Product Launches, Product Life Cycle management salesforce effectiveness, product mix, customer selection, segmentation, targeting focus and pricing. This position will also be responsible for Learning & Development (L&D) for driving execution of training and skill development strategies at regional and country level, particularly focused on sales process and tools.

The role ensures process alignment and possess the ability to connect the dots, which is critical to this role as it sits at the junction of sales, marketing, fulfilment, and the customer experience and it also serves as the EMEA regional liaison to all Business Units and Global Commercial Enablement initiatives. This includes input to the initiative development, as well as regional ownership of change management, implementation, and reinforcement.
• Member of EMEA Leadership Team (EMEA LT) and contributes to the development and delivery of the franchise business plan across the region. Obtains buy in and endorsement for commercial strategies, resources and key decisions from the EMEA LT, WW Marketing, and Cluster Leaders.
• Represents the needs of diverse, multi-cultural customers across EMEA to WW Ortho Marketing to ensure regional perspectives are incorporated in WW marketing franchise brand development and positioning.
• Remains close to changing healthcare and business environment and completes external market assessment to proactively identify new business opportunities with internal and external partners.
• Provide thought leadership on how best to optimize commercial tools within each region to support the frontline sales teams.
• Stay abreast of market and customer trends. Understands and communicates voice of customer insights and needs via market research, participation at key conferences, advisory boards, etc. Translates insights in competitive marketing strategies and positioning to drive the business.
• Provide strategic & tactical improvements in terms of Sales Force size, structure and resource allocation through efficiency, effectiveness, and quality initiatives.
• Design and align regionally compensation program for commercial, as well as own the regional awards program: President’s Club.
• Leads a team who work in close partnership with Country/Cluster Commercial Leaders in the implementation of marketing strategies at the region and country level.
• In partnership with Finance, prepares and presents key executive reviews with CEO and Executive Leadership Team on Go-To-Market share, Sales Activity Management and key Customer Excellence actions across regions and modalities.
• Leads a team who assess development needs across the commercial teams, designs learning path using internal and external resources and plans and contributes to the deployment of learning and development initiatives across clusters

Profile
• University Degree - Business related or Life science
• 15-20 years of experience in In-Vitro-Diagnostics (IVD) or related industries
• Critical turnaround experience and change leadership in European markets
• Total 10-15 years of successful commercial experience (Sales, Marketing, Business Management)
• Deep understanding of ClinLab business is a must
• 5+ years of marketing experience developing & implementing strategies to drive growth in IVD ( ClinLab / tactical marketing)
• Advanced degree in business or life sciences and experience working with and across diverse, multi-cultural markets and geographies
• Strong leadership, people and talent management skills. Ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high performing team
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at regional and global levels.
• Customer and market focused with an ability to leverage insights to drive business results and demonstrated ability to lead & manage in an environment of complexity, ambiguity, and diversity.
• Track record of successfully leading teams to adapt to dynamic business and economic environment to meet changing business needs and achieve franchise goals
