Job Description

Summary

The Advertising Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling advertising spots and maintaining relations with advertising clients. The Ad Sales Account Executive will be expected to meet set targets by identifying, prospecting and managing new businesses. This position requires an individual with a keen ability to create, incrementally grow, and maintain sales revenue by connecting the business’ marketing goals with the entire portfolio of content distribution platforms. The Ad Sales Account Executive takes a leadership position within the sales team to provide insight on advertiser behaviour, from both the buying and trafficking sides.

Duties and responsibilities

Primary job duties and responsibilities include:

Client Management
• Researching opportunities to expand advertising/sponsorship relationships and initiating contact with new potential partners
• Cultivating new-to-programme advertisers through cold-calling and aggressive prospecting
• Encouraging new business opportunities with existing clients and playing a supporting role in their development
• Developing strong relationships with new and existing advertisers
• Acting as a single point of contact for clients/customers in the English-speaking Caribbean region

Finance and Accounting
• Developing and executing sales strategies across all platforms to maximize revenue
• Evaluating the performance of advertising sales programs against desired outcomes
• Assisting in preparation of client invoices, monthly and yearly recaps, and budget updates
• Managing incoming accounts and billing

Brand Support
• Internally, serving as brand leader on assigned brand(s) and developing tools and messaging to all internal parties
• Supporting third party relationships to deliver on brand objectives and strategies

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. All duties and responsibilities must be managed on a regional level. Some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications and requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 2-4 years of related ad sales support or commercial operations/trafficking experience
• May have experience in advertising/media industry, corporate finance or business consulting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong executive-level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• A proactive approach and initiative to be innovative
• Excellent client relation skills
