Position Summary:

The Commissary Kitchen Ambassador works on a day-to-day basis to ensure product quality and consistency to meet the needs of every guest. General duties consist of executing daily production list, following, and preparing ingredients, and tending to cleanliness of commissary. Additional duties include inventory stocking, quality control, and maintaining commissary organization.

Qualifications:

Must have at least two years of experience in a commercial kitchen

Must possess positive attitude, friendly and upbeat personality, and a love of artisan treats!

Must be familiar with commissary baking and preparation standards.

Must be able to show proof of ServSafe certification upon hire

Must have flexible availability for ever changing business needs.

Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Able to communicate clearly with managers, delivery drivers, co-workers and corporate staff.

Able to take direction, perform closing and opening shifts duties, and multi-task.

Follow all recipe batch sizes properly and prepare ingredients accordingly

Utilize proper labeling procedures to ensure product and ingredient freshness.

Maintain department equipment and advise Commissary Kitchen Supervisor of any needed repairs or issues

Utilize safe kitchen standards when operating machinery, using knives, and any other tools

Assist with pulling inventory for bakery product orders (BPO) and bakery supply orders (BSO)

Able to work independently in the absence of management

Participate in commissary deep cleaning projects and daily cleaning and upkeep tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Checks production schedule for daily needs.

Follows all of Kara’s Cupcakes Standards of Operational Excellence to ensure product quality and a great Guest experience.

Works together with all Commissary ambassadors to ensure a safe working environment

Assists with other commissary duties as needed. Provides prompt and courteous Guest service to our Guests, employees, and vendors when needed.

The physical demands of the position include:

Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.

Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Must have the stamina to work 40 hours per week minimum
