Minimum Qualifications:
Education
• Clinical doctorate degree (DPT) from an accredited institution
• Candidates without an academic doctorate must have a current ABPTS board certification (OCS, SCS) and/or completed a musculoskeletal residency or fellowship.
• PT degree with eligibility for PT license in the state of North Carolina – must be licensed at the time of hire.
Teaching
• Contemporary expertise in musculoskeletal physical therapy and the ability to lead a team through the musculoskeletal course series.
• Three years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
Scholarship
• Record of scholarship and/or a clear plan for a future scholarly agenda.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Academic doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DHSc, DSc, or ScD)
• Commitment to community engagement through teaching, service, and scholarship
• Prior teaching experience in higher education with evidence of strong teaching skills, use of instructional technology, and commitment to learner success
