Duty Station: Pekan, Pahang
Job Responsibilities:
Involvement in the implementation of a range of existing projects
Undertaking project activities such as studies, awareness programmes, networking, information exchange, monitoring and evaluation
Providing input to technical and management reports
Working with partner agencies at local level (local government, private sector, Civil Society Organisations, indigenous people and local community groups)
Support community development and empowerment
Working with partner agencies in Malaysia and overseas
Working on aspects of field projects in Malaysia and overseas
Input to development of new projects and activities
Contribute to other elements of the Peatland Programme as appropriate

Requirements:
Degree in Environmental or Natural Resource Management
Fluent in English and Malay with good writing skills
Experienced in computer and basic software skills – e.g. Microsoft office
Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience
Experience in forest, natural resources or peatland assessment and management, and biodiversity or climate change issues
Experience in communication with multi-stakeholder
Experience in working with private sector and indigenous and/or local community
Experience in multidisciplinary teams an advantage
Experience in awareness and information exchange
Willingness to work with plantation companies and indigenous/local communities
