Austin Health Clinical Nurse Educator RN | Graduate Nurse Programs
• Fixed term, part time (0.8) role until December 2023
• Work across all three Austin Health sites
• RN35 QRED3 (Grade 4B) + salary packaging + super (pro-rata for part time)

About The CNED And Graduate Nurse Program

The Clinical Nursing Education Department provides contemporary evidence-based clinical education programs to meet organisational and strategic goals. The Graduate Nurse Program team welcomingly supports learners across several graduate programs and provides a high level of support to the wider education team and local nursing staff with educational resources.

About The Role

As a Clinical Nurse Educator supporting our suite of graduate nurse programs, you will be responsible for program curriculum, design and implementation, theoretical content delivery, clinical support, and assessment of competencies, with the support of the Education Coordinator – Graduate Nurse Programs.

A Regular Day Will See You
• Develop and implement education strategies through risk identification and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure safety of nursing practice and exceptional patient care
• Provide expertise and guidance, leadership and supervision to staff working within the division and with the support of the Clinical Nursing Education team
• Participate in and support the process of educational research and quality projects that ultimately translate to benefit care of patients at Austin Health
• Monitor and report on the congruence between educational inputs and the attainment of patient care standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards, in conjunction with the CNED

About You

You will be someone who demonstrates a high level of clinical leadership and engagement of learners, have significant clinical experience, and be able to work within multiple high functioning teams.

You’ll Further Have
• General Registered Nurse registration, current registration with the NMBA
• A Post Graduate qualification
• Previous experience in an education role
• Significant experience in acute nursing at senior level
