We are a boutique hotel property in the jungles of western Belize, Central America.
Responsibilities
• Manage online, phone, and in-person room reservations
• Answering calls and queries related to potential booking
• Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys, and explain the hotel’s amenities
• Take payment from customers
• Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
• Assist customers with the planning of special events such as weddings and business conferences
• Arrange specialized services for VIP customers
• Balancing the accounts from the day shift
• Managing front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by scheduling concierge activities according to guest preference
• Handling customer requests and complaints and directing other employees or departments accordingly
• Creating invoices, bills, and checks for vendors, employees, and contractors
• Managing and updating all official documentation pertaining to the role
• Ensuring that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments
Qualifications
• +2 years experience in a related field experience in customer service or hospitality or related field.
• Able to learn computer functions and other on-the-job skills
• Strong eye for details
• Good problem-solving skills (works great under pressure)
• Ability to multitask
• Solid customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible working hours including weekends and holidays
