The Tax Assistant is responsible for executing the required activities to facilitate the registration of the taxpayers and to provide timely and up-to-date information to these taxpayers. The Tax Assistant is responsible to detect, investigate and analyze complex and sensitive cases of revenue laws infraction with particular emphasis on criminal and civil violations in respect of the tax laws; execute and enforce tax collection in respect to chronic delinquent tax liabilities, dishonored cheques; prepare cases for prosecution and report on status or outcome of investigations for the Belize Tax Service (BTS).
