What you will be doing:
• Markets and serves upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees.
• Ascertains guest satisfaction and presents check. Process check per hotel procedures.
• Records all charges, verifies validity of charges, receives cash from guests, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all of his or her transactions registered during his/her shift.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the server stations on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning, stocking and rotating all products needed.
• Picks up dirty dishes from tables and set them organized at the breakdown station.
• Responds to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner, negotiate a compromise and implement solution.
• Complies with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments verification of all checks. Fully responsible for handling credit cards, room charges procedures, and deposits cash drop.
• Deliver complimentary amenities to guest rooms.
• Setup room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders.
• Submit a complete Section Report with details of clients, to include name, contact information, preferences and any event celebration information.
• Demonstrates power to solve guest problems by assisting the guest and alerting the supervisor of any complaints. Promptly inform management of any complaint, comments or incident.
• Makes every effort to learn guest names. Ascertains guest names and uses at least three times in a service exchange.
• Follow established SOP’s required for the position and Department.
Your experience and skills include:
EDUCATION & SKILLS
• High School graduate
• Ability to speak English and Spanish
EXPERIENCE
• Food and Beverage experience in related field preferred
• Hospitality experience preferred
