About the role
Nami is looking for the first in-house DevOps Engineer capable of running production infrastructure in GCP to join the fabulous Engineering team at an extremely exciting time.
This key role will assist the current development team in monitoring, extending, and hardening the current production and development infrastructure, with a goal of scaling infrastructure to allow them to perform at the highest level.
Responsibilities
Maintain and improve all Nami architecture
Review, maintain, and extend test and deployment configurations along the CI/CD pipeline
Build and test mechanisms to improve uptime so we can take SLA requirements in the future
Optimize infrastructure and deployment to make sure we stay lean and flexible
Work on platform introspection (log aggregation, alerting, performance monitoring) to help developers find and reproduce issues
Assist the QA team to ensure that a strong engineering process is being built
Ensure the safety of users by deploying rigorous security standards throughout the development stack
Contribute to the ideation of new features and experiences
Partner with teams to help define goals for the engineering team at large
What We’re Looking For
A passion for creating reliable applications and a systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
Knowledge of and passion for gaming, crypto, and data analytics
4+ years experience as a problem solver
Experience managing helm charts and deploying into Kubernetes (k8s)
Proficient in the following types of testing: unit, integration, system, functional, non-functional, regression, performance, security, and acceptance
Experience in software development and setting up monitoring systems to ensure high availability, security, and resilience
Ability to self-prioritize issues, manage operations concerns, and ability to advocate for improvements and optimisations
Experience collaborating in an Agile work environment and leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
Experience efficiently scaling services based on application introspection
Knowledge of microservice architecture paradigms
Excellent written communication (design docs, specs, documentation, code reviews, post-mortems)
