The Company.
My client is a specialist in the supply of mid to high end lighting and furniture to both residential projects and contracts.
They Source and supply of a wide range of lighting and furniture for every aspect of the home.
They are rapidly growing as a company and have a number of opportunities available across multiple showrooms which show they’re expansion plans.
Logistics Coordinator
Salary: Up to £30,000
Based: Ludlow
A logistics manager with a minimum of 5 years experience managing all aspects of logistics. In particular:
• Managing and dealing with carriers. Negotiating rates, setting terms of service, managing the relationship
• Manage all shipping requests between suppliers, customers, and partners
• International shipping: Experience of import and export, paperwork, post-Brexit customs procedure
• Designing internal systems to optimise flow of goods through a warehouse:
• canning systems for goods in and picking
• Product data management to reduce error
• Warehouse planning to reduce picking times and picking errors
• Managing drivers and route planning for our own vehicle deliveries
• Communicate and coordinate with the Sales team and customers to ensure orders are correctly fulfilled and queries resolve
• Evaluate and assess metrics and performance of freight & carrier operations, inventory and transportation
The successful candidate will have strong IT skills and significant experience in logistics and warehouse operations and systems.
