Our client operating in the Wholesale and Retail Sectors based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Warehouse Clerk.

Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1-year similar experience as a stock clerk or similar position.
• Working knowledge of computer programmes for entering data.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities
• Receiving shipments and signing of paperwork upon receipt, keep accurate record thereof.
• Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists, record batch numbers on invoices.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are not damaged.
• Contact buyer if an error is identified.
• Make out the return for credit to the supplier and ensure it is signed.
• When all is correct sign the waybill from the supplier or courier.
• Do all GRV's immediately.
• Labelling of products Store stock in an orderly manner.
• Ensure correct storage conditions and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintenance of inventory and rotation thereof.
• Conduct regular cycle counts.
• Ensure FIFO method is adhered to when stock is being picked.
• Alert buyers when stock is expired or close to expiry date.
• IBT of all stock.
• Assist in performing second checks of picked stock.
• Dispatching of couriers daily.
• Ensure stock received is second checked.
