Join our local retail team as a volunteer
Not only will you be making a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability, but you are also impacting positively on our environment. Each year £140 million worth of used clothes which could be worn end up in a landfill*. Fast fashion and increased consumption of clothes cause the retail industry to contribute to 10% of the global CO2 emissions.**
A typical day in the life of retail volunteer, will include:
• Greeting and meeting customers
• Sorting our stock
• Pricing up clothes and Bric-a-brac
• Using the till to sell merchandise.
In your role you can choose which tasks you would like to undertake. Training will always be provided to make sure that you can fulfil you role.
Our shops are open Monday - Sunday and we are looking for volunteers to help us within these times. Travel expenses can be claimed, this is up to the value of £10.
