Liases with:
Fabrication and welding Superintendants and Suervisor
Collaborate to the correct development, management and improvement of the Company Management Quality System and to the verification of its correct implementation.
To ensure, when involved also in project activities, the correct application of the Project Quality Plan, the supervision/coordination of the Quality Control Activities and the implementation of the relevant Quality Control Plans.
Job Descriptions:
Responsible for generation and qualification of welding procedures and welder testing; Responsible in preparing project QC Specific Procedures; Responsible in coordination with NDT Subcontractor regarding the scheduling of NDT and review / approved NDT Test results; Supervise Welding Inspectors on their daily inspection activities; Monitor on daily basis fabrication activities to ensure that the work was conducted as per project requirement and specification through In-process inspection and internal Quality auditing; Coordinate with NDT Subcontractor and Client Site Representative and other department all matters pertaining to Technical issue regarding Quality, Welding and NDT; Reviewed / Approved the implementation of the project applicable Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure
Qualification Record (PQR); Witnessed / Coordinate with client pre-commissioning activities / testing (i.e.
Hydro / leak test, Winch Load test, Turn-table Rotational test, Compartment Air Test; Prepare Method Statement and welding sequence as when it is require.
Reviewed / Check Project Vendor Data Book (VDB) dossier is filed in orderly/timely manner. If necessary, may perform other tasks related to those mentioned above.
Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent with a minimum 15 years of experience in similar field [position. At least 15 year(s) of working experience in quality control functions in the oil & gas field.
Familiar with any two of these specifications & products:
ASNT, ASTM, ANSI, AWS API, ASME, AISC, SPC BS
Standard and other relevant Industrial Construction Standards and Specification.
Should have a certification as NDT level-Il in any 2 methods (PT, MT, VT* RT & UT).
Should have a certification as Welding Inspector CSWIP 3.2 / AWS — CWL Knowledge of ISO 9001. Be able to communicate well to subcontractors & third party clients / inspectors / surveyors. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and will be able to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
Must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.
