The Angola SHEQ Manager position located in Luanda Angola will be responsible for development and implementation of the organization’s Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality strategy. This position will provide leadership and technical support to the Angola facilities and Sales team in the areas of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality Management and regulatory compliance. The incumbent ensures the completion of all applicable governmental and corporate regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do
• Actively promote the safety and Quality process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.
• Drive and contribute to our continuous improvement culture.
• Personally observe safety and quality procedures and proper use of equipment and material.
• Ensure compliance of local regulatory and ChampionX Safety, Health and Environmental standards for Angola personnel while managing legal updates.
• Ensures timely completion of all government agency and corporate safety, health, & environmental reporting (example ERP, Incident and Injury Management etc), as well as communication with agencies and appropriate personnel.
• Responsible for site Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Supports management in Crisis Management Plan (CMP).
• Manage compliance of HSE training plans and programs and delivery of training.
• Understand the components of the HSEQ Management Systems; maintain accurate data in accordance with applicable record retention requirements.
• Implement and maintain company HSEQ documents adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Coach and mentor one level of direct reports; assign work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Organize, Lead, and conduct external/internal audits for Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO:45001, ISO:14001)
• Ensures compliance with the requirements necessary to maintain the company's ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
• Provide environmental, health and safety training as required by company policy, customer requirements and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure case management practices are communicated, implemented, and followed for work related injuries and reasonable accommodations are made to mitigate aggravation of non-work-related injuries.
• Lead the investigation of incidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations; prepare studies and analyses of industrial incident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies.
• Manage the inspection of regional facilities to detect existing or potential incident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented and completed.
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
• Prepares and manages the annual Safety, Health, & Environmental budget, and is accountable for significant deviations from the budget.
• Oversees the Industrial Hygiene program for the CX personnel.
• Oversees Contractor Qualification, Evaluation and Safety Program.
• Conduct and/or assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Compile and analyze HSEQ statistics and incident reports. Issue monthly reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
• Other duties as required.

Position Details
• Candidate must reside in Luanda Angola.
• 5-day Work week
• Compensation Package Offered: Basic salary and allowances

Minimum Requirements*
• Diploma in workplace safety and health with 5 years HSE experience, 2 years at the management level or equivalent experience.
• Experienced in setting up and maintaining various ISO standards, documentations, and requirements.
• English language skills.
• Ability to travel within a geographic territory
• Ability to travel overnight for business
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Requirements (if Applicable)
• University Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety.
• Three or more years of relevant HSE experience in the oil and gas industry or 5 years of experience in similar functions.
• High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
• Prior experience that required excellent communication skills
• Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills
• Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask.

Certifications
• ISO Auditor Certification
• Registered with the Mapess Provincial Board.
