SUMMARY

Our growing financial institution is seeking a Learning and Development Trainer to be an integral part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, and implementing training activities for all North Cascades Bank staff. This individual will utilize standardized training curriculum to conduct comprehensive training for all newly hired Personal Bankers and Customer Service Representatives. Additionally, he/she will work with management team to identify and coordinate additional training opportunities to support professional development for all staff. Further, the selected candidate will evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and maintain training library resources, distributing materials to employees as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Deliver comprehensive training for all newly hired Customer Service Representative (CSR) staff. Utilize standardized training curriculum, incorporating enterprise- wide best practices and procedures. Maintain and update curriculum as necessary. Measure and track individual CSR performance after initial training. Provide feedback and identify additional training opportunities.
• Assist with new employee orientation.
• Evaluate training programs and services. Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
• Administer and oversee employee development plans.
• Travel to branch locations on a regular basis to support the training needs of each branch.
• Assist management in identifying training and development needs in addition to coordinating training opportunities to support the professional development of all employees. May solicit help from internal or external subject matter experts.
• Develop and implement effective training policies, procedures and programs. This includes, but is not limited to, audio-visual aids, computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts.
• Provide other administrative support as assigned, such as tracking employee training logs and management of the learning management system. Maintain calendar of employee training events and notify management of those that have not been completed.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with bank personnel and management at all branches.
• Assist employees with obtaining their Notary license. Responsible for employee Notary tracking and reporting.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:
• Three to five years banking experience is required
• One to two years of experience training employees is desired

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally life up to 10 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $30.00 per hour. Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
