• * Provides oversight in all activities of Urgent Care practice and serves as a liaison between physicians, administration and staff. Participates in program development, promotes positive relationships and superior patient care service. Performs administrative functions which include hiring, training, supervising and evaluating the urgent care staff. Formulate and implement policies, ensuring proper functions of procedures, process improvement and coordinating work flow. Will facilitate communication; promote and provide direction in the delivery of quality services; Acquires knowledge of SGMC services and programs to promote benefits.
• Supports, develops, and provides direct patient care for the Urgent Care.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Develops, evaluates, and revises standards and policies related to specialty area.
• Communicates policies, procedures and standards of care to staff.
• Serves as a resource for LPNs, Medical Assistants, Patient Care techs and other health care providers by providing training.
• Monitors patient outcomes and, resolves issues/problems.
• Monitors regulatory/accreditation compliance.
• Maintains a clinic atmosphere, which ensures South Georgia Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies and standards are consistently supported and enforced.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Education, Certification, & Licensure:

o Current LPN License in State of Georgia

o CPR required

o ACLS required (can obtain within 6 months of start date)
• Five (5) years experience in related specialty area preferred.
• Flexible in work schedule, assignments, workloads, setting priorities and utilizing problem solving techniques.
• Ability to analyze regulations, standards, clinical issues, and patient outcomes.
• Demonstrable evidence of creativity, integrity, initiative and communication skills.
• Ability to assess learning/training needs of healthcare personnel.
• Ability to conduct educational programs for a wide range of healthcare personnel.
• Ability to plan education programs based on objectives and evaluate effectiveness of programs.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals and groups both within and external to the organization, and to demonstrate the values of the organization.
• Excellent demonstrated verbal, written, and behavioral communication skills.
• Strong decision making skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to utilize technology to produce spreadsheets, graphics, trending data, and written reports.
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center
• Knowledge of OSHA & other applicable regulatory requirements
