Summary:
The Leach Pad Laborer will perform manual labor on the Leach Pad in a safe, hands-on manner
He or she will take direction from, and report to the Leach Pad Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Welding HDPE Pipe.
Conduct daily pre-operation inspections on equipment.
Operate extendable boom forklift.
Operate mini x excavator.
Lay out irrigation piping on Leach Pad.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Able and willing to follow directions.
Other Tasks or Duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Recommended Minimum Job Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Current Driver License.
RECOMMENDED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA) REQUIRED Knowledge of:
Basic welding.
Knowledge of HDPE 4 to 36 pipe fusion.
Some equipment experience is helpful.
Must have a good safety record and attitude.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirement Shifts are 12 hrs.
, or longer if needed.
You will work outside in extreme, adverse weather conditions.
You will be working around hazardous materials, including sulfuric acid, diesel, gas, oil, solvents, kerosene, and other chemicals.
You will be required to walk, stand, bend, twist, and climb while carrying up to 75 pounds for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in rough terrain and other hazardous walking conditions.
Should be able to work extended hours and overtime if needed.
Important Information Regarding this Position This is a labor-intensive position pertaining to the production of copper at LVMC.
You will be required to work in extreme weather conditions and be able to follow directions.
