Specialty care and the evolution of our markets continues to be a core area of intensive focus at GSK. The GSK US Specialty Business Unit is looking for a Strategic Account Regional Director to be on the front lines of leading a team of Strategic Account Leads (SALs) responsible for working with key accounts including health systems, large group practices, Infusion Management Organizations, and Alternate Sites of Care (ASOCs). The SAL team works across the GSK enterprise matrix and collaborates with Population Health Decision Makers to optimize our disease modifying innovative therapies across the GSK specialty biologics portfolio. They differentiate GSK as a forward-looking partner invested in improving population health. This leadership role requires agility to work across a portfolio of specialty medicines and therapeutic areas including collaborating with numerous GSK stakeholders and leaders with an enterprise mindset. Some of the matrix you will engage with include Marketing, Value Evidence and Outcomes, Field Medical Account Leaders, Channel and Contract Operations, Market Access Strategy, Market Access Pricing and Contracting, Field Reimbursement Managers, Legal and Compliance, and the sales forces where appropriate. You will work across multiple disease states including Rare Diseases, Respiratory, Immunology, and Renal. This leadership role requires coaching to contracting, analytics, business acumen, and account management skills. Developing others and leading a high-performance team with accountability is critical to success. This role requires understanding of and coaching to buy and bill and payer acumen in medical and pharmacy benefits. Strong communication, presentation skills, and organizational agility, along with skill engaging with internal and external senior leaders are a key part of this strategic leadership role. Coaching in a complex environment and being able to simplify and lead through change is required. Strong understanding and adherence to legal and compliance policies, SOPs, and Ways of Working across the GSK matrix is a required element of Specialty Strategic Accounts.

Travel requirement up to 50%. Scope of geography is Mid Atlantic, North Central, and New England.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for dynamic professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50% of time, including occasional weekends and evenings (Candidate can live anywhere in or near the assigned geography)
• Minimum 4 years successfully leading and coaching high performance teams in specialty biologic sales and/or account management.
• Experience with buy and bill medicines and specialty biologics covered under the medical and pharmacy benefits.
• Experience working with population health decision makers and senior leaders in health systems, large group, and other organized customers such as ASOCs and Infusion Management
• Previous experience with complex financial analysis and navigating excel.
• Experience coaching to business planning and account management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (i.e. PharmD, MPH, MBA)
• Contracting development and/or pull-through experience, including provider and/or payer.
• Experience coaching and developing Strategic Account Plans
• Experience with business plan development at the account/enterprise level requiring alignment with other disciplines/business lines.
• Experience with brand value propositions and Section 114 materials
• Clear, concise, and impactful communication skills, both written and verbal
• Skill navigating a highly matrixed work environment and demonstrated
• effective teamwork.
• Comfort and experience dealing with ambiguity and leading change in a
• complex work environment.
