Description
The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at a RMRG restaurant. Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, Bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Bartenders are expected to have some basic cooking knowledge.

Responsibilities
• Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean bar environment.
• Identifies and monitors when guest may have had too much to drink and notifies supervisor.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks according to RMRG's standard for service to your customers table. Responsible for adhering to cost control measure as it relates to drink recipes & wine / beer pours.
• Ensure that recipe accuracy and time preparation time standards are adhered to.
• Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Filling in for absent staff as needed.
• Assisting with special events as needed.
• Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the restaurant and develops some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
• Develop regular clientele by learning guest names, dining preferences and likes and dislikes.
• Maintains 100% responsibility for all cash handling in the bar drawer.

Requirements
• Previous serving experience may be required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be TIPS certified.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in basic English fluently and be able to count proficientlyBi-lingual staff always welcome.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Positive interpersonal skills required, strong character, understands the culture of RMRG.
• Food Handlers Card not required, but welcomed.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Frequent walking with some standing for extended time periods.
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
