Maintenance Facilitator Main Responsibilities:
• Planning, assigning, and directing maintenance work on all three shifts.
• Oversee maintenance projects including outside contractors
• Maintain and update facility and equipment within facility.
• Study production needs and estimate and track hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Establishes or adjust work schedules to meet production needs.
• Maintain systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff.
• Ensure all systems and machines are running at optimal levels to ensure production can obtain goals.
• Implement and manage CMMS program to schedule PM's, work orders, and inventory control.
• Improve function and reliability of facility systems and equipment by studying performance results, identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions and additions.
• Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components or parts.
• Confers with other managers to coordinate activities/projects of individual departments.
• Contact and work with outside contractors on special projects.
• Oversee preventative maintenance.
• Promote the maintenance of a safe, clean and healthy work environment by adhering to company safety program.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in resolving work problems.
• Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
• Promote various continual improvement efforts.
Maintenance Facilitator Key Requirements:
• Two year certificate from technical school or equivalent and five to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to manage maintenance personnel.
• Technical and mechanical leadership and understanding (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, etc.), equipment maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English to all levels.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational skills to improve productivity, safety, cleanliness and health.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Boiler's license helpful.
