Job Purpose

To assist in the daily operations and coordination Road Network as designated by the Road Network Ground Operations Manager.

Principle Accountabilities
• To assign vehicles and drivers to ensure all planned movements are executed to the agreed Road Network schedule.
• To produce a monthly driver schedule, minimizing overtime whilst maintaining optimum utilization of driver hours and the monthly rotation of drivers across all standard network routes. This must be completed by the 20th of the previous month.
• To allocate available vehicles and drivers for all additional line-haul and special truck requests when required.
• To administer driver commission / bonus.
• To liaise between each driver and the HR department, resolving all individual driver issues and ensuring the appropriate information is forwarded to HR in order to maintain the validity of all HR employee records.
• To monitor departmental sickness and absence levels and report all instances to the Operations Manager and HR department. This includes the collection of a sickness/absence certificate from each driver on the date of return to work.
• The scheduling of all driver leave/holidays ensuring complete annual entitlement is used within the agreed time period.
• To manage and administer petty cash, checking and reporting each individual driver claim. Petty cash levels must be suitably maintained by ensuring master claims are submitted to the Operations Manager for authorization at the appropriate time.
• To ensure timely data input and file management of the Fleet Plus database as instructed by the Road Network Manager to ensure accurate monthly reports are available at the required time.
• To monitor driver performance in accordance with Monthly Bonus Scheme.
• To complete projects within agreed timescales as directed by the Road Network Operations Manager.
• Ensure vehicle checklists are completed for the vehicles before departing and carry out daily vehicle checks for damage, mileage, cleanliness etc. All anomalies are to be reported to the Algeria Ground Operations Manager and entered in to the Daily Vehicle Check database.
• To ensure all drivers’ licenses are current, and renew / replace as required. Copies of all current passports and driving licenses are to be filed for reference.
• To maintain Vehicle insurance and registration at all times. said
• To monitor and administer fuel expenses, produce a monthly discrepancy report for excessive . All invoices must be consolidated and submitted to the Finance Department in order that accounts are settled in accordance with current credit agreements.
• To develop relationships with all suppliers and where required, obtain alternative quotations to ensure value for money.
• Work closely with the Road Network Facility Manager to ensure the servicing and maintenance intervals are completed as required by the vehicle manufacturers. Also the vehicles are returned to Operations to ensure Network availability is maintained at 100 %.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Lives in Oran
• University diploma
• 3- 4 years Team Leader or previous Supervisor experience.
• Must be conversant in service standards.
• Communication
• Building and leading teams
• Job knowledge skills
• Analytical thinking
• Have a good command of the English, French and Arabic, both written and oral.
• Organizational and PC skills
• Must be resilient and prepared to work flexible hours and travel as required
