Finance Analyst Distributor Markets at Lipton Teas & Infusions
Background
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Analyst and Business Partner to join the Lipton Teas & Infusions Distributor Markets team – which will serve many distributor markets worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis, business partnership and support to key stakeholders within the organization. This role will involve working closely with the senior leadership team to drive business performance, identify areas for improvement and provide strategic recommendations.

Lipton Teas & Infusions Distributor Markets & Lipton Teas & Infusions Export
The Lipton Teas & Infusions Distributor Markets (eDM) team drives growth in distributor markets. eDM is a global team based out of the Netherlands and manages the distributor markets Management Units. The role of eDM is to:
• Act as an export company (Lipton Teas & Infusions Export B.V.) for markets where there is no local transacting legal entity, and provide transactional routing for export transactions between sourcing units and distributors – including control of financial flows;
• Drive the growth agenda for all distributor markets and unlock white spaces in terms of consumer groups, channels and brands
• Act as a center of excellence for Management Units through best practice sharing and standardization.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide financial analysis and support to the leadership team to drive business performance and identify areas for improvement. The Finance Business Partner will play a crucial role in the organization's growth and success by analysing and interpreting financial data, identifying trends and opportunities, and providing insights to the team to inform decision-making and strategic planning and help to identify potential new business opportunities and ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
The role is critical in ensuring the organization's compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analytics:
• Develop and maintain financial forecasting and budgeting processes
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools
• Month-end reporting, communicating insight and analysis to the distributor markets teams and the wider business.
• Monitor and analyze business performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
• Ensuring that pricing is within the strategic plan and ensuring is set to deliver the gross margin/EBIT target
• Analyze data to identify key business drivers and trends
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support as required
• Develop and maintain key financial metrics and reporting tools
• Monitoring operating expenses (BMI/Overheads spend) spending, reporting variances against forecast and providing quick investigation into discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards set by the global FP&A team and adhere to the deadlines
Business partnering:
• Partner with business development and marketing teams to identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities
• Provide financial guidance and support to the whole team
• Provide financial analysis and support to key stakeholders, including department heads
• Act as a liaison between finance and other departments
• Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and objectives, and provide financial analysis and support to help them achieve their targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, markets business development, and external partners
Key interfaces and relevant stakeholders for this role
• Report to Senior Finance Manager
• Work closely with distributor market finance team: Finance director, financial controller, and order to cash team
• Head of Distributor Markets and function heads (Business Development, Marketing, and supply chain)
• Lipton Teas & Infusions’s Finance team
• Project teams working on the transition of distributor markets, and on the establishment of Lipton Teas & Infusions’s end-state processes and systems
Required Knowledge and Experiences
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Financial Control experience, including a good understanding of accounting and control requirements
• Robust understanding of end-to-end processes within Finance
• Experience working in the FMCG or consumer goods industry Relevant Finance degree or accounting qualification
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Results focused and agile in approach to achieve goals and accelerate business growth
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Power BI skills
• Knowledge of SAP is a must
