(HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Quality Engineering Technician Intern at our facility location in Berea, Kentucky. HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.
HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence in the Quality department. This position will be responsible for ensuring incoming supplied materials, including engineered parts and assemblies conform to engineering requirements. This includes first article inspection, supplier auditing, nonconformance management (including supplier corrective actions) activities and supporting that Quality Assurance system as directed.
Hours: Flexible depending on school schedule. Full or part-time options are available.
Other Requirements
• Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Complete necessary procedures and documentation to satisfy quality requirements and indicate concurrence with acceptance or rejection decisions.
• Perform 100% inspection on final product
• Initiate and participate in resolution of material review board (MRB) for non-conforming material including supplier communication.
• Audit various manufacturing processes to confirm compliance to HYG Quality System requirements
• Various and sundry duties as assigned by supervisor
Our intern program is open both for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a course of study in Mechanical Engineering, Automation or other related field.
