The Job
Your Responsibilities will include :
• Writing well-designed, testable and efficient code.
• Gathering and evaluating user feedback.
• Working as a part of a dynamic team to deliver winning products.
• Providing code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.
• Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
• Escalating technical issues to the relevant parties when needed and following up till the issues are closed.
• Ensuring all standards and procedures are followed and maintained.
• Answering queries and resolving issue relating to usage of standard applications and IT services.
• Providing monthly help desk reports.
• Analyzing, monitoring, configuring and maintaining existing systems and identify room for improvements.
• Ensuring overall system and server uptime, availability, reliability and security.
• Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for specific requirements.
• Troubleshooting system / server issues or outages.
• Building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Investigating and resolving technical issues by deploying updates / fixes.
• Keeping updated, accurate and reliable backups of application and databases.
• Documenting policies and procedures.
• Participating in release and sprint planning sessions.
The Profile
Skills Required :
• You possess a Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• You have at least 1 year experience, ideally within a Software Engineer, System Administrator or Helpdesk / Technical Support role.
• Experience within Agile, Cloud Computing, Configuration Management Tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet), Data Security, Database Backup & Recovery, Database Installation, Upgrade & Migration, DevOps, Distributed Messaging Systems (Kafka, Solace), Documentation, Load Balancer, Mobile Backend-as-a-Service Platforms (CloudKit, Parse, Firebase) and Startup Experience would be a strong advantage.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• You are a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience
• You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
• You are willing to undertake more than 60% travel.
