The Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Manager Superintendent, and Assistant Project Manager on various aspects of projects.

Specifics of the role
• Support the Project Manager and project management team as needed to ensure a successful execution of a project with the client and our subcontractors.
• Learn from the Project Manager and Superintendent.

What we expect
• Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and management team to successfully execute projects. The Project Engineer should have desire to learn from the Project Manager and be able to successfully execute specific a subtask(s) of project management.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the construction documents.
• Monitor the delivery of all needed materials for the project(s), ensuring timely delivery and appropriate billing.
• Review and track project invoices to ensure appropriate billings and manage material needs.
• Maintain job files to ensure continuity of work flow.
• Review, distribute, and track RFI’s.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Items to know
• Travel is required for this position due the nature of our work. Our projects are typically based in the Southeast, and we have recently expanded our footprint in other East Coast areas. Travel could consist of day-travel, multi-day travel, or work onsite for a project from a few weeks to monthly.

• Projects are fast pace.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or 0 to 3 years of construction management experience.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in the management field of sitework construction projects: erosion control, excavation, and utility installation.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and traverse slopes.
• May be required to lift and carry short distances up to 50 pounds.
