The Lowboy Driver will load, transport, and unload various earth moving equipment safely from project to project.
Specifics of the role
• Lowboy driver will report to the logistics manager to receive schedule for hauling.
• Must be a safe operator.
• Must be reliable operator.
• Will load and unload construction equipment and our equipment yard, dealer yards, and projects with minimal assistance, if any.
What we expect
• General knowledge of load securement and chains and binders.
• General knowledge of off-road construction equipment operation.
• May be required to lift and carry short distances up to 50 pounds.
Items to know
• Travel is required for this position due the nature of our work. Our projects are typically based in the Southeast, and we have recently expanded our footprint in other East Coast areas. Travel could consist of day travel, multi-day travel, or several rounds of overnight travel each week.
• CDL-A for a minimum 3 years.
• Pass all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• 3-year clean MVR.
• Minimum 3-year heavy haul experience.
• Can travel out of state from 2 nights to 5 nights a week.
