We are currently looking for a Director of Integration Management Office (IMO) to join our growing team!

Job Summary:

The Director of the Integration Management Office (“IMO”) role is designed to lead the activities necessary to guide the development of functions involved with the integration of companies involved in a merger or acquisition. The role provides governance and structure surrounding the overall integration program, as well as specific projects and initiatives designed by the functional areas.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Design an organizational structure for the integration, including Steering Committee, IMO, and functional area teams
• Assist Management in articulating the integration hypothesis, aligned with the overall transaction (deal) thesis
• Lead key Executives, Management, and functional area teams in designing the integration blueprint to design the future, integrated state of the organization
• Establish overall goals and guiding principles for the integration teams
• Develop a framework for teams to document integration project plans, including both high-level functional roadmaps and detailed, execution-focused integration plans
• Develop a reporting cadence for regular alignment with functional area teams, including project status, RAID log (risks, activities, issues, decisions) to report and escalate
• Generate and report other relevant reports, tracking files, or output documents (e.g. synergy tracking, or future state organizational structure diagrams)
• Monitor risks and issues to ensure that they are appropriately resolved and escalated as necessary to the Steering Committee
• Monitor and coordinate the integration program’s interdependencies, by providing knowledge and oversight of functional teams with each other, and with related initiatives, in the areas of knowledge sharing, issues resolution and work plan synchronization
• Provide overall control and coordination of program performance, progress, and quality
• Monitor compliance with established program standards and recommend corrective actions
• Design and deliver a reporting framework to keep the Steering Committee informed regularly, related to all aforementioned project elements, as appropriate for the integration program and according to the Steering Committee’s desired level of information and involvement

Strategy & Planning
• Develop standard processes for capturing, measuring and reporting information necessary to effectively govern the integration program

Acquisition & Deployment
• Identify key business issues using techniques and tools
• Evaluate and validate analysis and developing recommendations in the context of the overall integration
• Focusing the program on results and key integration priorities
• Remove barriers as soon as they are recognized, and escalate as required
• Provide visibility of all projects and delivering objective concise information to the Steering Committee

Operational Management
• Track progress against key milestones, objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required
• Manage the program, team and day-to-day relationships to deliver exceptional performance
• Develop and present weekly status updates and steering committee discussions for progress monitoring.

Supervision:
• Supervision and oversight of functional teams

Education & Experience:
• Master's degree or a qualification deemed equivalent
• 10+ years of project management or merger integration/ carve-out experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management
• Experience in integration planning and acquisitions/divestitures required
• Functional knowledge in one of more of the following areas is beneficial:
• Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement
• Communications planning and management
• Finance & Accounting operations
• HR/ Organizational design
• Information Technology, including business/ enterprise applications and basic knowledge of IT infrastructure elements
• Other back office functions (basic understanding of legal, compliance, quality control, customer service, insurance, and other typical functions)
• Operations
• Salesforce effectiveness
• Marketing optimization
• Success at both planning revenue growth and profitability growth initiatives and driving them, operationally
• Program management and leadership experience
• Specific experience designing and leading the execution of internally-focused and externally-focused change/communications strategy

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
• Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Adaptable to working conditions (e.g., varying to 100% on-line/ virtual work environment, or flexibility to travel at least 75% of time as required by project dynamics)
• Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and arms, talk and hear
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
