The IT Transformation Strategic Initiatives Consultant's role is to work with the IT Transformation Manager, Director, and the Strategic Initiatives Transformation team to assist in driving and program managing IT-wide cross-functional transformation efforts while assisting with cutting-edge thought leadership, and company-wide facilitation of other IT Transformation efforts. The Consultant will ideate, socialize, and initiate complex cross-functional programs and projects covering a range of transformative efforts throughout the IT department for both short- and long-term initiatives. This individual will work with other departments as needed to investigate and tackle issues that require resource buy-in and cooperation across the entire Delta organization as well as with our external partners.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key resource for the IT Transformation Manager, Director, and Strategic Initiatives Team in strategy development, thought leadership, socialization, and material creation in support of key initiatives.
• Assist with program managing cross-functional transformation efforts that touch every aspect of the Delta IT department.
• Participate in the strategic creation, management, review and reporting of IT business operations strategy, policies, and goals with a focus on long-term business planning requirements both domestically and for our Global Capability Center in Bangalore, India.
• Support the development of solutions (process, procedure, initiative) that improve approaches throughout IT.
• Identify and develop relationships with points of contact across departments and strategic partners to propel change that is mutually beneficial.
• Work with team to conduct appropriate research to support strategies and create roadmaps to advance initiatives. Conduct fact-finding and assessments to gather and analyze data as needed.
• Increase levels of engagement, interaction, sharing of resources, and inter-connectedness between teams, departments, and partners.
• Successfully interact with and present findings to Manager, Director, VP, all IT leaders, cross-functional IT / business staff, as well as the CIO.
• Adapt existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to complex problems.
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance and use own judgment to determine optimal solution to recommend.
• Help Stakeholders, IT Portfolio Teams, Business Partners and Business Users understand their roles and responsibilities within the initiatives.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• At least 3-5 years of work experience (preferably in the Consulting industry).
• Hands-on tactical and strategic support for people, process and technology improvement projects including deep analytical exercises, current state assessment, future state design, gap analysis.
• PMO expertise.
• Mastery of the MS Office suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project, and Word).
• Ability to be flexible, pivot quickly and seamlessly navigate risks and ambiguity while effectively navigating a dynamic project environment.
• Excellent written communication, oral communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong meeting facilitation, negotiation, consulting, and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• Ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for actions, projects, and people.
• Display initiative, act with confidence, and work under own direction.
• Set high standards for quality to monitor and maintain initiative quality and productivity.
• Gather comprehensive information to support decision making.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and styles to suit different people or situations where needed.
• High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency.
• Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

• Bachelor's Degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
• Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
