It's an exciting time to be part of Delta's Reservations team as we redefine how and where we serve customers and set new standards for the experiences we create for customers as well as thousands of Reservations and Care employees. We're currently going through a learning transformation by creating fresh, innovative, and interactive learning experiences for employees throughout every level of the division from new hire training to leadership support programs and everywhere in between. As a Senior Learning Designer, you'll act as a cross divisional partner on large scale strategic projects by identifying new learning topics, content deliverables, and delivery recommendations to prepare employees to perform at their best. As a senior member of the team you'll coach, mentor, and develop other team members through various projects providing thought leadership in learning design and consultation to others on the selection, development and uses of methodologies and techniques for data collection and analysis.

Under minimal direction the Senior Learning Designer performs tasks including, but not limited to:
• Consult with stakeholders throughout the division to identify appropriate and relevant learning interventions to close performance gaps;
• Create content using appropriate instructional methodologies based on adult learning principles, level, and complexity of learning objectives to design engaging learning and training solutions e.g., courses, games, videos, simulations, quizzes, etc. delivered via mobile, digital, or other broad reach vehicles;
• Summarize, analyze, and make recommendations for revisions or discontinuation to learning interventions based on evaluation and performance data;
• Build productive relationships and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and other team members to confirm course specifications and resolve gaps;
• Coordinate and track SME engagement in lesson design, development and review. Including performing quality control reviews of material;
• Identify performance support strategies using technologies that influence both learning and performance productivity at the individual and group level. Evaluate training outcomes based on KPIs;
• Provide consulting on the effectiveness of using an integrating technology for performance support and development;
• Research, evaluate, and recommend delivery strategies, topics, techniques, and tools to enhance the learning intervention;
• Assist with standardizing design processes, templates, blueprints, and style guides;
• Effectively prioritize and manage projects to completion meeting targeted milestones;
• Work collaboratively with graphic design and video producers to create an impactful learning experience;
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• Candidates for this position should have at a minimum a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education or 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in designing and developing in various modalities including live, virtual, and blended instructor led, Interactive and media-rich elearning, multimedia assets, and on the job activity development
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Ability to take a project through the entire project lifecycle from intake request through implementation
• Ability to learn new technology and products quickly
• Exceptional writing and design skills, as well as strong editing skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven organization
• Strong and transparent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Some travel required (<20%)
• Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
• Performance consulting experience highly preferred
• Project management using Agile
• Experience working with and managing vendor relationships
• Experience creating assets, reports, and dashboards with Smartsheet
• Demonstrated experience with usability principles
• Experience in audio/narration editing
• Experience creating videos and podcasts
