Job Duties/Scope Of Work

At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Waste Projects & Operations Work Control team is seeking a Work Control Planner to provide support in the following areas:
• Conducting walk-downs with bargaining unit employees, subject matter experts and field work supervisors to develop and plan work instructions for high hazard nuclear facilities, D&D, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, construction, or surveillance activities.
• Developing safe and compliant work instructions and assembling work packages for field work.
• Facilitating hazard analysis and planning meetings.
• Assisting in design change packages and troubleshooting as appropriate.
• Providing information to others to procure needed material, track, and control work packages.
• Coordinating input from craft and SMEs from multiple organizations involved with planning and completing field work and resolve work planning issues.
• Providing technical direction to a group of individuals.
• Working independently with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications
• US Citizen
• Intermediate Grade 14: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Career Level Grade 16: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and prioritize multiple activities at the same time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Experience as a Craftsman and/or Field Work Supervisor along with corrective maintenance planning experience.
• Experience performing planning activities at a DOE site.
• Experience with the Job Control System (JCS), Integrated Work Control Program (IWCP) and the Job Hazards Analysis process.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Intermediate Grade 14: $69,413 - $87,538

Career Level Grade 16: $83,950 - $105,570

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
