VGM Insurance is looking for a Sales Associate to join our team of industry-leading experts. The sales associate will work to support the sales cycle and work alongside program managers during new business proposals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with clients through the quoting phase by providing strong technical expertise and administrative service relevant to quote and presentation of proposals

What you will do as a Sales Representative:

A Sales Associate works in tandem with the sales team and Program Managers to support prospecting new business and sales efforts across VGM Insurance. Primary responsibilities for the sales associate revolve around new business opportunities, supporting the sales cycle, and partnering with program managers during new business proposal process.

A drive to learn business development and sales with a commitment to accomplishing goals and objectives as crucial to success in this role. A qualified insurance candidate is a positive contributor with strong listening and communication skills and can relate to our prospective customers to make insurance easy to understand.

The sales associate's key responsibilities include:
• Support during the sales cycle and partner with client through quoting phase by providing strong technical expertise and administrative service relevant to quote and presentation of proposals
• Day to day client service of broker partners around new business opportunity through communication with new business and underwriting teams to ensure accurate account information
• Market applicable coverages to prospective clients and networks across the U.S and recommend appropriate products and services
• Create and assist in broker presentations and reviews to identify opportunities to cross sell other lines of coverage
• Partner with program managers and assist in new business proposal process
• Follow-up with prospects and insureds on a regular basis specific to new business
• Coordinate new sales efforts within the division to achieve new business goals and assist in pipeline development strategy opportunities and division goals
• Coordinate and manage all new business leads through CRM
• Ensures that all regulatory, compliance and transparency requirements are met and complies with all internal policies and procedures
• Travel to prospective clients as needed

What makes you the ideal candidate:

A Bachelor’s degree and Commercial Insurance License preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ Insurance specific client management experience and sales experience preferred
• Possess a solid understanding of basic insurance principals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong customer service focus
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer service and departmental issues.
• Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
• Must be highly proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:
• Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
• Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
• Rare but occasional travel
